Summary of Conflict of Interest Procedure

Biota has received, and may apply in the future for, research funding from the Public Health Service (PHS), an operating division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). A prerequisite for such funding is compliance with the U.S. Codes of Federal Regulations (CFR) that specifically deal with potential conflicts of interest and the promotion of objectivity in PHS funded research.

Biota has implemented processes to meet the required regulations to identify, manage, reduce or eliminate conflicting interests with respect to all research projects for which funding is sought from the PHS.

The Biota procedures require a designated official to solicit and review Financial Disclosure Statements from each Investigator who is planning to participate in PHS-funded research.

A copy of Biota's Procedure can be made available upon request.
